IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that border controls at Marrakech Airport may cause longer waiting times. We sincerely thank you for your patience and assure you that your tour guide will be waiting for you at the airport terminal exit, regardless of how long these procedures take.
Upon your arrival in Marrakech, you will meet the local representative of Sahara Tours International after passing through immigration and customs. He will be located at the airport terminal exit, to your left, near the Voyage Privé banner. The representative will hand you an envelope with all the necessary information about your stay, including contact numbers and the excursion program. If your package includes airport transfers, the representative will introduce you to your driver, who will take you to your hotel.

After breakfast, departure early at 08:30 from your riad/hotel in Marrakech and journey through the High Atlas mountains via the Tichka Pass (2,260 m), the highest road pass in Morocco, offering spectacular panoramic views of the mountains and valleys, with winding roads, colorful landscapes, and Berber villages along the way.
After a scenic stop, we will continue to the Telouet Valley until reaching the ancient salt trade route, historically used to transport these coveted goods to the sultans’ courts.
We will arrive at the village of Anmiter, dominated by the Glaoua lands, a fortified citadel that is a microcosm of an empire and its fall. Free time for lunch here.
Afterwards, we will take the road leading to the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, crossing the Ounila Valley. Check-in at your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its mixture of mud and straw under an intense red sun highlights the beige tones of this historic structure.

After breakfast, meet your driver and depart for Mhamid Elghizlane.
Leaving Ait Benhaddou, we will cross the Eastern Anti-Atlas and arid, rocky landscapes up to the Tizi-n-Tinfifte Pass. Upon reaching Agdz, we will take a green route passing through oases and small villages. The tracks follow the right side of the Draa River, crossing palm groves and observing wheat and barley fields.
In Zagora, we will visit the pottery workshops and the Tamegroute kiln. Then we continue towards Tagounite before reaching Mhamid, where the Draa Valley and civilization come to an end.
Around 16:00, check in at your hotel and take some time to freshen up. Later, enjoy a short walk near your hotel and admire one of the most fascinating sand dune views, experiencing a beautiful sunset in the heart of the desert.

Early morning to enjoy the sunrise in the Mhamid desert.
After breakfast, meet your driver to start the journey toward the Merzouga desert.
We will pass through Tinfou and the village of Taghbalt, then continue to Tazarine, a small village located 10 km from the Tamsahalte oasis. From a viewpoint above the village, you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the town with its dozens of mosques and palm gardens.
Free time for lunch in Tazarine before taking the road to Rissani, a desert town in the Tafilalt region. This town, origin of the Alaouite dynasty and the current King Mohammed VI, is known for its authenticity and vibrant market.
We will make a stop for an exterior photo of the old Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Sharif, the first king of the Alaouite dynasty. Along the way, we will visit a fossil workshop and learn how fossils are discovered in this region.
Upon reaching the golden dunes of Merzouga, you will switch vehicles for a camel ride that will take you across the mystical desert dunes. The local Berbers at the camp will share secrets of the Sahara Desert.
At dusk, enjoy a comfortable nomadic camp with a drum show, sunset views, and an overnight stay in a traditional tent.

After breakfast, departure from the Merzouga dunes toward the Todra Gorge, Dades Valley, and finally Ouarzazate.
After about an hour and a half of travel, we will arrive at the Todra Gorge, an impressive canyon in the eastern High Atlas mountains near the village of Tinerhir. The gorge walls rise up to 300 meters, offering a unique visual experience with their changing colors in the sunlight.
We will continue to Boumalne Dades, a region known for its limestone cliffs with uniquely shaped erosions and spectacular landscapes. Enjoy free time for lunch in the Dades Valley.
After lunch, we will proceed to the Valley of Roses, located north of El Kelaa Des Mgouna. Here, you can visit the rose distillation factories that produce rose water for all of Morocco. This area hosts the annual Rose Festival, a lively celebration reflecting the dedication to rose cultivation.
The journey continues through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, a fertile oasis surrounded by palm groves with views of the High Atlas and desert landscapes.
Arrival in Ouarzazate and check-in at your hotel.

After a late breakfast, leave your hotel for a brief orientation visit of Ouarzazate.
Start with a panoramic photo of the Taourirt Kasbah, the second residence of the former Pasha of Marrakech, “El Glaoui.” Optionally, visit Morocco’s film center, known as the “Moroccan Hollywood.” Ouarzazate gained fame as the setting for major productions such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, The Mummy, Jesus of Nazareth, Babel, and Asterix & Obelix.
Bid farewell to the desert from the gates of Ouarzazate, taking with you the best memories of this country.
Return to Marrakech via Agelmouss and Tichka, enjoying a Berber lunch on a terrace overlooking the Zat River.

Overnight stay at your riad.
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a half-day guided tour of Marrakech, including lunch.
At 09:00, your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby to begin the tour. You will visit the Ben Youssef Medersa and the Dar El Bacha district, where you will discover traditional funduqs (caravanserais). Explore the Qassabine and Smarine souks, known for their baskets, dried fruits, spices, and textiles.
Rahba Kedima Square, the old slave market, showcases a fusion of African and Arab cultures, with stalls selling magical potions and remedies made from ingredients such as seeds, bark, chameleons, and lizards.
Lunch at a local restaurant in the medina.
Overnight stay at your riad.
After breakfast at the hotel (if your flight is early, please inform the front desk staff)
Pickup from your designated meeting point and transfer to Marrakech Airport for your return flight.
